See this FAQ for full details on the program.
Why? To enhance the effectiveness and equity of instructional programs in every students’ classroom by providing GUHSD instructors both access to and training on a high quality, exceptionally powerful, and extremely flexible instructional technology toolset.
What? The F.I.T.T. program provides a coordinated approach to the provision of technology equipment and training for a specific purpose -- To assist instructors in bridging the gap between every student’s potential and their achievement. Eligible teachers can “check out” a Dell XT2 Windows-based Tablet PC laptop computer (see Tablet details) once they’ve been oriented on the fundamentals, then enjoy support and training while remaining active in the program in subsequent years.
Who? GUHSD teachers (except Adult Education teachers) with at least a .5 FTE teaching assignment are eligible to register for the F.I.T.T. program. Program participation is always subject to site administrator approval.
How? After considering your eligibility, just register below for an orientation session. Substitutes can be provided if your session is during a school day; otherwise, staff development hours will be provided. Beyond the initial session and distribution, you will be provided ongoing opportunities to further develop your knowledge and strategies.
When? That’s up to you! Choose the orientation/distribution session that best meets your preferences and priorities. More sessions will be added throughout the school year (a minimum of one per month).
