All District computer services must be requested using the “Computers and Technology Services Request for Service or Repair” form, referred to in this document as a Service Request. Service includes account set-ups, software installations, repairs, cabling, networking, and other computer issues.

 

If service needed is not associated with a G#, such as a lab set-up, training, or other special needs, still complete a Service Request, ask your immediate supervisor to approve, and submit to I&TS. Please follow these steps to correctly obtain general service needs:

 

1.  Consult with the on-site “Tech Specialist” to evaluate the issue(s)

The Technology Specialist may have the tools and knowledge to meet your needs on-site; this will save much time and effort. The Technology Specialist may also consult with your site Technology Coordinator or key District staff for assistance.

2. If the problem cannot be solved on-site, complete a Service Request with the assistance of the Technology Specialist or other designated personnel.

One Service Request is required for each computer (G#). Delays may occur when Service Requests are incomplete or calls are placed directly to Information & Technology staff. Phone 644-8240 for further assistance with completing Service Requests.

 

3. Submit the Service Request to the Manager of Site Facilities for approval.

Managers of Site Facilities, or acting personnel, will route Service Requests to Patricia Kunze, Information & Technology Services, at the District office. A service representative will be assigned as soon as possible.
