||Computer Request Form (and details)
While the Ed Tech Resources office does not have a budget to supply equipment to school sites and programs, our office intermittently scours for and acquires functional 'used' computers (generally desktop computers) from various programs and school sites that are 'refreshing' their current inventory, including from ROP program refreshes. Any GUHSD staff or program may request access to these computers by completing the following form and submitting it via email to email@example.com.
Request form: http://edtech.guhsd.net/dtabnk/TRFcomputerrequestsCombo.doc
Please be specific about quantity and type of equipment requested as well as the intended purposes and benefits. Please be aware that:
- Acceptance and use of the equipment is contingent on the approval of the receiving site's administration and site technology specialist. (site inventory transfer processes must be followed)
- We can make no guarantees of current or future functionality of redistributed equipment, though we do attempt to certify basic working condition and to deliver as safely as possible to the requesting site.
For current ROP classes, if a teacher wants to request to "receive a redistribution" (retain) some of the old computers in their room through this same request protocol, it needs to be known that: 1)
If additional computers are "redistributed" back to that room, they still need to be "wiped clean" of the ROP software, the ROP inventory tags removed, and the computers transferred to the site inventory. 2) The site tech would be responsible for these site computers, (not the ROP computer tech) including hardware, software, imaging and networking issues even if the classroom houses all ROP classes every period.
